Full Spectrum and Tata Elxsi, its development and technology partner, will be exhibiting Full Spectrum’s private, wireless system at 4G World in Chicago this Tuesday through Thursday. Additionally, on Wednesday afternoon, Stewart Kantor, Full Spectrum’s CEO, will be speaking at 4G World’s session on the adoption of Smart Grid Vertical Applications utilizing 4G technology.

Full Spectrum’s FullMAX system is the only fourth generation technology designed to function in all VHF/UHF frequencies below 1 GHz. FullMAX offers groundbreaking wide area coverage in a 4th generation wireless system. A single FullMAX base station can provide mobile coverage up to 20 miles from a single tower site (approximately 1,250 square miles of coverage). Standard 4th generation systems have a maximum range of 3 miles from a tower site (approximately 35 square miles). Wide area coverage is critical in private, smart grid deployments, where infrastructure costs need to be kept to a minimum. FullMAX’s wide area coverage unlocks the power of new smartgrid technologies by providing a secure, high‐speed, cost‐ effective network, reducing infrastructure cost by a magnitude of 20 to 30 times all other networking solutions.

FullMAX continues to gain acceptance by the utility industry for mission critical distribution automation applications. Sioux Valley Energy recently announced its deployment of FullMAX for wide area mobile and fixed smart grid coverage.
